Hi people, Ive just started fishing a clearish water with a silty bottom, problem is the fish seem really wary. gonna try using leadcore leader, but wanted to know which you thought were the best for this sort of situation, blend in to the deck and so on?

thought would be appreciated.

ESP http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif for certain. Dead easy to splice as well and it comes with the splicing tool. Once spliced though always use a blob of superglue, (just to make sure) http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I've found 'Score' to blend in best on silty waters.

ESP good, also like sufix's heavy core both in 45lb. The one nash market's is excellent at blending into the lake bed, but a real pain to splice. Did'nt get on with the score, too much white in it.

I've used fox leadcore before and found it terribly difficult to splice. I'm going to get ESP from now on as i've not heard a bad word about it

Leadcore from Bevan Carp Tackle in Chelmsford, or the Gardner leadcore. One in the same I believe. Great silt colour, 26lb B/S.

How have you got one with the Gardner leacore? I have found it's too stiff and the core is prone to poking it's head where you have splitt it off? or is it just me,, it kept doing it no matter how careful I was with tying it so I have gone back to ESP.
