If your not already aware, I'm putting together this book with help from a large number of people, i am aiming to have it complete and printed for launch at the Stoney & Friends event in August.
All of the profits from the book will go the Stoney & Friends. All of the people involved in the book from type setters to printers have agreed to do it for their minimum charge as the book is for charity, so anybody wanting a copy once its finished, bring along your money to the event and help out this great cause.
There will also be some items to do with the book, being auctioned off and raffled off over the next 12 months, artwork, prints and limited edition leather books, well worth the price of a raffle ticket. Keep an eye out for these.
Well done Coops, brilliant effort you must be well pleased:clap:  ,
I won't be at the bash but please put me down for a copy:thumbs:

Rob Maylin is helping out in a big way, we sent the first 4 chapters off to be set up today, expecting many more to come through in the next few weeks. Loads of the lads from this site are doing chapters, Chris Ball, Dave Gawthorn, Robin Dix, Hippy, Singy, Ruth Lockwood, Spike, Paul Harris, Terry Pethybridge, Si Croft, Steve Fantuzzi, Steve Fudge, Bucks Fizz, Jeff Pink, Pete The Painter, Bill Fowler, Andy Muir, Andy Jameson, Mark Collins, Martin King, Jamie Smith, Paul Bidmead / Dave Madden, and loads of help from other guys supplying pics and info like Simon Scott.
Its all very interesting stuff, but more importantly we are hoping to raise a huge sum for Stoney.
Well done Coops. Please put me down for a copy.

Can't believe Dean's not doing a chapter on his quest for cracker, yateley's most important capture by far.
Coops, are you doing leather bounds? if not and if you want to I can get them sorted for a limited run only if you want some done.

yes mate there will be 50 leathers being printed, the number 1 will be fully signed and auctioned off.
Will these only be availble from the Stoney do or can we order a copy? I can treat this as the definative Yateley book and never have to read anything on the place again :D

i have no idea how much they will be, i don't know how big the book is going to be yet, but lets just say that its going to have a fair few pictures in it, about 15 average per chapter, 24 odd chapters, plus a load more relevant pics too. The concise reference book on the complex.
Im trying to get a picture of every known carp on the complex prior to all the stockings that took place 1998 onwards. So if any of you have fished there over the years, you should be able to match up your pics and see the fish either when they were younger or see how they have grown over the years.
If anybody has any old interesting pics I'm still open to sticking more stuff in the book.

it should be available from a few shops, from Bounty hunter publications, from Perfection Ground Baits and hopefully a few other outlets that will sell it for no profit for us.
