The lakes have been fished since the early 80s. The carp are mostly old classic dark scaly mirrors and just about every variation of common.

Lake 7: Around 9 acres, and home to about 60 or 70 fish. There are around a dozen different 30s caught up to 38-8, some of which have not been caught for several years. It is possible that a couple of these are now over 40lbs. There are very few carp under 25lbs in the lake. There are tench and large bream.

Lake 8: Around 10 acres, and home to an estimated 70+ carp which are mostly over 20lbs. The biggest fish caught so far in 2010 was 34-12. There are several large uncaught carp.

There are large numbers of tench averaging around 7lbs and bream averaging around 7 to 8lbs.

There are also pike, roach, rudd, eels and perch in both lakes.

as far as i knew there were 3 fish that came out, i had 2 of them at 12lb 12 and 23lb i believe the other carp was around 22lb from lance in the next swim to me. when i wieghed the 23lb carp i had forgotten to zero the scales so after i had done it came out at 23lb. of course there may have been another i dont know about but tug and allan said only 3 ???

Hi All

as far as i was aware there were 3 caught 2by me and lance had 1 at aroung 22lb i believe in the swim next to me, mine were 12lb 12oz and 23lb ( when i originally wieghed him i had forgotten to zero the scales and it read 26lb 14oz ) after zeroing it came in at 23lb so that might be where the 26lber came from but if anyone knows different its a right result .
