If any of the Frimley bailiffs are reading this they might be able to identify the culprits from this description :
Upon settling into the swim closest to the island on Pit 2 early on Tuesday morning I was confronted by a disturbing spectacle. I found a number of plastic bags strewn about the swim and some crisp packets carefully dangled from tree branches. There was line stretched accross the swim, not unlike a trip wire and a pair of black socks in the bushes laid neatly next to an empty Fanta can. Two sticks, obviously, and almost skilfully hand-crafted into rod rests were still in position in the ground where they had been used.
We are therefore looking for two "anglers", both with a fondness for salt and vinegar crisps, who were attempting to fish Frimley Pit 2 on bank holiday Monday. They were using twigs as rod rests in the right hand island swim that backs onto Pit 3. One of them may have had no socks on.
It shouldn't be too difficult to track these "anglers" down and ban them.
