NOBBY FALLS TO SUPREME ANGLER>

Nobby a 20lb + common carp on chigborough 2 lake fell this evenning at approximately 8:00 pm for floating bread crust.

The expert angler commonly known as Swan Vesta was busy reading a book when a set of lips came out of the water and consumed the crust.

Fishing a swim normally fished by the notorious CB1 panic ensued, book dropped in the water, dog went balistic, Fish went across the lake and looked like it was trying to get into the big lake. But skill and controlled panic won the day, after 15 minutes Nobby was in the landing net.

Now what.

Nobody on the lake, no phone to gloat, no camera to take a picture. Posed for a few minutes just in case somebody came along alas no one did then the fish was returned safely.

First Carp and not a bad one at that.

Its still there for you lot at the weekend.

Well done young man, lovely way to catch carp. I think its much more exciting than alarm watching though they do have their uses.

Anyway at least you will remember it, shame for you no piccies though, well done.

Nobody makes a rod with a high enough test curve to cast a marker that big very far Paul

Oh it's easy when you know how/images/forum/icons/wink.gif lol.

As far as hiring me as a marker, we shall have to do this over the private as River Carper might get jealous.

Well done Brian. I've been talking to Gary to find out which swim Nobby inhabits... but then again any swim on the small pit and you can cast to anywhere on the lake! lol.

Clive

Your right, however last night it was thrashing around at the car park end of the pit all evening. As Gary & I know this is no more than knee depth but surrounded by lilly pads.

I believe you may be up this weekend so make sure you get here before Gary. He always nicks this swim which is the first one as you come onto the lake.

Although I was reading a book (i call it studying) the amount of Tench bubbles around was unbelievable. The only reason I had crust on was I thought I might pick up a Crucian and didn't want the hassle of Tench.

How bad. I only wanted an hours piece and quite.

Hopefully see you this weekend.

I'm coming down Sunday, hopefully earlier than Gary!! Does this reading business really count as studying when it's 'Big T*t Weekly' lol. Hope to see you and any other of the SG boys.
