View Full Version : Pads Lake (Again!!)
Down there for the first time in a couple of weeks, i've got the message about slack lines and easy on the bait, but, wondered what the stock is other than carp?
Is there a lot of silver fish, am i gonna get plagued if i take small baits??
No u wont get plagued mate..the sliver fish are yet to even pick up a single bait of the clans. no nibble on the baits either..but then they were never in the water long enough to get eaten by anything other than the carp http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Cash once claimed he had hell n all trouble with small silver fish..?? god knows what he was using..pinkies i think

When I fished there in September...silver fish were a nusiance....small skimmers wolfing 14mm boilies and pellet hookbaits....just ask Mike Lyddon.
Still it makes the buzzers go...
For anyone who's interested a 27.5 lb common was caught from the point swim yesterday. Probably the biggest common in there.
Martin...wasn't a 30lb+ common taken last year?
In answer to my own question.................no... http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Last May.....is it the same fish? (http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/news/pages.phtml?CAT=1&ID=412)
Well done Smarts, yesterdays fish was probably another of the small number of commons in there. I didn't see it personally.
