just been checking out the sometimes useful long range forecast for the next few weeks and discovered the following for the weekend of the bcac qualifier on sandy....very cold, wet (in a sleet/snow kinda way) and generally very wintry....just the conditions to haul on sandy....NOT..... http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif.....oh well should even the playing field a little... http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif....though i hope the forecast is wrong....

Temperature: Well Below average
Wind Direction: Usually from the North
Pressure: Low
Rainfall: Around average - sleet turning to snow over higher ground

and yes i am just making excuses already.... http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I reckon Sean's looking at the wrong Sandhurst - maybe the one in South Carolina?? http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The long range forecast for Sandhurst, Berkshire, UK as on http://www.theweatheroutlook.com/14centralsouthwest.asp is pretty good with tempratures beeing warm - average and only some light showers - Excuse shattered I'm afraid mate http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

and scroll down to the right week

does this look like a map of south carolina.....??? http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

the moral of this story is that long range weather forecasts are not to be trusted.....and cash did hit the true nail on the head (for once http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif)....it is ALL about the draw on sandy...

i think the map is general but the l/h text is specific to the selected region (berkshire)...allegedly.... http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

going on the reliability of recent forecasts though - it'll be sunny and 80+ all weekend.....

LOL listen to you lot! think a lot of it will come down to the draw, althuogh with the amount of fish in sandhurst the winner could come from anywhere. bags or beds............
