Not much been said on here for a few days about sandy so here goes "how's it been fishing the last week or so"?
Has it been any busier since the change on the match?

Sandy's definately picking up - still inconsistent but they are there to be had for those that try. As Viv says Tuesday night to Wednesday morning produced 7 fish topped by a lovely 24lb common at 7am from the Car Park swim - an absolutely stunning fish that I'm going to officially name 'Horseshoe' due to the white horseshoe shape scar on the top of it's head http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Dave Franklin watched 30+ fish basking in the sun yesterday - a definate good sign as this is the first real showing this year.

As for busy - the weekend before last was crowded but last weekend was only moderate. Don't forget that the lake is booked out on the 29th and 30th of this month, then we have the BCAC qualifiers in April and July.

Sounds likje a familiar Fish, Paul..........One I had at 16lb something maybe up to a year ago. I should have a piccie of it on the mat somewhere....I took piccies of any distinctive fish with markings that made identification possible.
Maybe a bit of Sandhurst history for the future Yateley?....

Not a bad growth rate if it is..... http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think the first common I had out of there had a scar like that too, got a pic of it somewhere, was 18 somthing when I had it..... took a close up of the scar too...

will send it to singy if he can do the honours...... but this is rest of it (http://www.ukcarp.net/Gallery/GalleryFish.asp?Captor=Nerys+Garbett&Fish=4) although from the other side... there's quite a few other scale markings that are distinctive on this fish too...

The change is that you can only fish for the cats at night, and carp through the day on the match lake during the spring, It's
to give them a bit more of a rest after last year!
