I pass Bray Lake (Maidenhead) every day on my way to work and as it is local, I wouldnt mind a crack at it. I've checked it out on the web, and not found out much (except the high price of a ticket!). I am assuming it contains the typical still water species, but any information regards quality of fishing etc would be much appreciated.

Certainly is.

Thanks Ian.

Thanks Boo2 (are you Boo in disguise?)

I didnt realise that it was only £12 once. It makes the price hike (into 3 figures if my maths is correct) meteoric!!

I tend to agree with your assessment and I think I shall stick to purchasing the Group Water Summer Ticket. I just thought it would be nice to have a water on my doorstep, which I have not had since Taplow went syndicate.

Anyway thanks again.

Yes it was me! I went onto the forum from work, saw your post and decided to reply straight away but could not do so under my own name from there. Thought Boo2 was the closest I could get and would let you know who it was. Obviously I was right!

I got back into fishing at Bray Lake and thoroughly enjoyed it there, but there was no way that I could justify paying the massive price hike when I was told about it. The fact that the actual sum was very uncertain at the time and rumours were rife as to exactly how much it was going to be led me to join RMC. Wish I had done so earlier as I have thoroughly enjoyed Yateley, even if it is further to travel!

Have to agree with you Boo.

Looking at their website the price is:

Joining Fee (1st Year only) £30
Membership £35
Fishing Ticket £75

which is err.......£140.

I assume you have to pay the lot, but even at £75 it is still steep considering a RMC Group Ticket is only £60, and just look at the choice you get!!!

Looks like I will splash out a bit more and get the coverall ticket. Cannot wait......
