hi all , anyone know of anywhere decent on these two rivers ? thinking of getting a season ticket for a stretch on one of these rivers , ideally the loddon , but as most of it is owned by clubs or private land , anyone point me in the right direction as to which one to join at all ? and am i still able to join , being 50 odd miles away ? im sure on some places you pay a premium for not being within a 35 mile radius , im sure i read this somewhere but cant think where or where this applies to ?
ive heard twyford and district is pukka , also rdaa got some big fish stretches . which would you look at ?
or any where else that will produce my first double ?
had lots of barbel on the thames but biggest 9.14 , and now seem few and far between .
can anyone put me onto a good stretch on somewhere at all ?
your help would be much appreciated
pm me if need be , thanks alot and i look forward to reading your replies !

Your best bet is probably the RDAA ticket. They've got loads of decent stretches, including the Upper and Lower Benyons which both produce doubles (or did a few years ago when I was a member).

Farnham Angling Society has got a stretch of the Loddon that's produced a 16 lb 10oz barbel. Loads of other good fishing on that ticket aswell. And you can join where you live no problem.
Swallowfield Fishing Club have a bit of the Blackwater, and the Loddon. Really nice bits of river, not heavily fished and no issue with the distance away that you live.

no issue with RDAA. you can get an associate membership if you live a certain distance away, can send off for it or get it from local tackle shops.
the kennet still throws up very big barbel.
feel free to pm me adrian if you want any more info.
Have fished RDAA stretches of the Lodden and Kennet and had barbel to 16lb, also three different 15lb barbel along with three 7lb+ chub. All caught in the last 4 years. All this for only £55 a year.
RDAA are a great club and certainly value for money is there.

no worries upper
So many stretches of the Kennet available on the RDAA ticket - too many to concerntrate on in one season. Some of the stretches have time constraints, some you can night fish.

Been down one of the farnham stretches and had the river to myself before, which is more than can be said for their lakes lol.
You dont seem to bag up there but when you get one its a good chance of being
a lump
FAS have two stretches of the Loddon: Carters Hill/Sindlesham Mill and Broom Cottage. Plenty of big chub, barbel and other species in both stretches and night fishing available on either.
You may also want to check out the Wey and possibly the Blackwater also.
