Maybe I should get singy to host my map of sandy.... needs a bit of updating though....

in the mean time, here is the arial overhead (http://www.multimap.com/map/photo.cgi?client=public&x=483360&y=161049&scale=50 00&width=500&height=310&gride=483525&gridn=161532) of sandy from www.multimap.com (http://www.multimap.com)

When looking at this map in ref to compass directions, do please remember to use the compass provided on the screen ... (no, not sucking eggs, but you would be suprised how many people don't know to use the compass on screen)

The Island is pretty obvious on the OH, as is the yellow sandy strip on the top right of the lake which is the no fishing bank

for those who have not fished it, the first swim to the left (AS YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE PICTURE) of the sandy strip is "the Pipes" (swim 31) there are 4 swims between there and the island (31-28) the Island is 26 and 27.

The 'secret' (swim 1) is to the right of the sandy strip, as you get round the corner from the no-fishing bank.

Bailiff's swim is to the (on screen as you look at it) left of the island, you can see a lighter patch there on the map...

This map was done before the new road went in, and before the new (non-fishing) bank was finished totally though which is why some of the more obvious features (like a bright blue portaloo) can't be seen on it...

The postcode used for this OH is GU47 9EH, if you have other map sites you want to try

That's Swan Valley - a day ticket water behind the mushroom farm http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif

To the west of Sandy are the Nursery and Copse Lakes (Copse is the top lake and will be a 'Pads' style day ticket water in a few years). To the Northwest of them with the 2 islands visible is the Match lake.
