Dan why do you want to up the amount of bait from 7K.If you had some sucsess this year then stick with what you are doing.Did you have problems with the bream last season and why are you waiting untill june.River carp will feed all year round because of the flow they are burning energy all the time so they have to replace it by feeding.Looked at the Mole/Thames con fluence the other weekend with lots of water on but if you caught there in the summer you should catch there now.I catch more carp from the rivers in the winter than I do in the summer mainly because I prefer to fish them in the winter because there are even less anglers around then.

It's not an area I have fished but know of it's reputation.Yes it's worth a go in the cold easpecially if no one else is bothering. Some of those big fish could turn up at any time but I think you would have a better chance by fishing slightly firther up the mole possible behind the race course.

I baited up an area of the Thames a few years ago quite near the river Mole area at Hampton Court and I did use a lot of bait over a couple of weeks. I did bait up using quite a lot of boilies but the majority of the bait was maples. We must have put in over 50 kilos in a fortnight of just maples. The boilies were additional to that, but it worked and fifteen carp or so in three days fishing after that was pretty good i spose. Lovely fish too, I had a linear, a fully scaled and some luverly commons.

Cheryl get Jim to phone Ian at the office and he'll sort out the problem. Not sure when Ian is back from the holiday.
No point in me trying to sort it out I'm just a thick carp angler.
Get Jim sort out his own replies when he gets home from fishing, can't let him have all the fun can we.

Hope you both have a happy xmas.

Jim, not strictly true that you have never caught a river carp. Dippy once lived in a river, although obviously you didnt catch it from a river, not that it originated from the gipping anyway!
Just thought i would point out that pointless fact!
Have a good christmas everyone

Please could you tell me if there is more than one type of ticket at Fen Drayton or is it all on the A.C-S.A.C. ticket.
Thanks

Hi Jim
Re Cambridge Big Fish Waters

I used to fish around st Ives about 12 years ago. At that time I was told on VERY good athority about a low forty in Long Reach. Do you know anything about this fish? It had a triangular white scar on its head.

All the best

Simon Maris

You mean 'fat Lady' Simon?

If so it is True and I have seen the pics.

Paul Rudd caught the fish this/last year if I remember correct. A lot of people thought it was Jim's water that it came from.

Jim

If you are still having trouble setting up a login id, it might just be due to registering with the
same e-mail address, if you set up another e-mail address with someone like yahoo which is
free and only takes 5 mins then you could use that e-mail address when u register and it should be
ok.. worth a try anyway

cheers
Dan

Hello Simonm,
I fished Longreach back in 1998 through the close season and had a few out, but nothing compared to what i saw.As far as i could tell there are three main players in there, two around the 38-40 mark and another that dwarfs them both. But thats not the biggest iv'e seen on the complex!!!
Also I thought the Fat Lady was in the Lagoon?

I wouldnt worry about that big word as I didnt. I just used a favourite word as my password and that worked fine. Big words are too much.

Keep it little. lol

Yep - Alpha = Alphabet & Numeric = Numerical. Basically it means don;t use any 'funny' characters such as

!"£$%^&*()_+-=<>,.??'@;:#~}{[]`¬

...... get the idea /images/forum/icons/laugh.gif

If your still having problems tomorrow, give me a call on 070 444 00 333 after 5pm or email at webmaster@rmcangling.co.uk.
