Yateley South Lake

I am a fairly new carp angler (middle of last year) I have been told that South Lake would be OK for someone with my expirience where I would stand a reasonable chance of my first 20. I know that no 20 is easy but some places are harder than others.
Just looking for a bit of advice:
Would South Lake be a good water to try
Any general advice on the water
When is a good time of year to start

A great place to go. Cracking lake, superb fish and the chance of a few, possibly a 20.
One angler bagged 34 fish last weekend in 24hrs!!!!

he did very well indeed god love him, 23 on the saturday and 11 on the sunday (or the other way round... *memory* )

also worth mentioning that he blitz's sandy (not on the south scale) but I think he has clocked up to 5 in a day and over the 'winter' period too... he puts the rest of us to shame... fair play http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I was going to mention too coz I don't think anyone caught on Saturday night and all through Sunday.. apparently, because the rain killed the lake off or Corsa bloke had caught all the fish the preceeding few days LOL. Think he was fishing the snags end of the lake.

I was there on Sunday with a mate, we had nowt and I didn't see or hear of anything else coming out. Will be back later in Feb with a vengence though http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif
