Thought some of you would like these underwater photo's I took whilst diving at Stoney Cove in Leicestershire. The Pike in the photo was around 20lb to 25lb. My dive buddy and I were sitting on the bottom amongst submerged trees watching the pike picking off roach ( http://web.me.com/glennpompier/glennmorleyimages/Photos.html#31 ). After a while we approached the pike to see how close we could get. As you can see from this photo it got fed up and slowly swam away ( http://web.me.com/glennpompier/glennmorleyimages/Photos.html#84 ). I've thrown in a nice Perch photo for the hell of it ( http://web.me.com/glennpompier/glennmorleyimages/Photos.html#60 ).
When clicking the link you may get all the non underwater photo's coming up first wait for the link photo to load.

Stoney is cool. Nice full face mask Glen, any good?
When I was at SC it was 9 degrees in a semi dry, full of crays and roach. Still good fun tho.
Have you seen the perch in the helicopter? Awesome.

Thanks for the comments.
Stoney Cove is a large flooded granite quarry in Leicestershire, not far from the M1, not sure how true it is but I was told it was the main source of foundation material used on the construction of the M1. It's been used for diving for around 30 years or so. Great as an inland diver training venue, has it's own chamber as well in case you got into trouble as in parts it's very deep, down to around 120'. The viz was always very good as you can see in the photo's, around 40' or more when I've dived there. Somewhere in the house I have some really good Perch photo's I took on the airplane at around 20' or so. I'll post if I can find them. There are some monster fish in there, mainly Perch, Roach and Pike but I have seen the odd Carp. I'm not sure if you can fish there.
Common mate, are you talking about the full face mask photo on my web site? If you are thats not a diving set up lol, it's a London Fire Brigade set up for firefighting.
Nice pics mate, eat your heart out Hugh Miles!
Nice pics. Colours on the perch quite striking!
