canon g10

time for a new camera thanks to the dog deciding he liked the taste of the old one, any one got any views on the canon g10, im looking at maybe a second hand one off an "auction site" so an idea of a fair price would be usefull along with any possible pitfalls to watch out for:thumbs:

plumber. good camera, but superceeded by the g11. im not a camera buff but reading the reviews of buff's the g10 has too many mega pixels for the sensor (whatever that means?)
thats why the g11 is 10 meg (not 14) and also has a flip screen.
the g11 has less noise, basically better quality piccys.
i will be getting the g11 shortly after reading all the reviews.

you back down the road next season ? :) gonna be hunting the one you had ;)
