Couple of nice there mate, but be warned i posted a picture of a guy holding an eel and got slaughtered because a. i took the photo & b. i didn`t give him a lecture in hadling eels correctly, someones bound to mention LANDING MAT!

i only have a massive carp mat ans as we cycled is would be impossible to carry it ,and the fish came to no harm.

Henry, pics like this have always been taken so don't worry too much.

That said, nowadays care is paramount and pike are fragile, a small sharp stone can puncture them and grass can damage the eyes. Their scales are tiny making them less robust than most species.

Anyway mate, well done and maybe treat yourself to a roll up mate for the future, I don't carry one when lure fishing but I rarely take pics and unhook in the margins.
