View Full Version : water behind kingsmead1?

I was fishing for the first time on kingsmead1 last weekend, and i noticed that big exspanse of water at the back, anyone know anything about it, if its fishable etc....
Or anyone that could be taking control of it. thats if theres anything in there of course.
Ian, maybe a new one to create.?

Has that escaped from kingsmead2 or is it a known kingsmead1 fish, if it is b****y h**l. thats a turn up for the books. Where was it from?
Nevermind about that water, everywhere i look at and looks nice is a no go, i`ll find that unfished water sooner or later!

The water behind the mead has had a reported siting of fish in there, last summer there was two/three fish seen in the bay near shady point, weather this is true or not is a different issue.
Great result on the 37 common, more info, where from, what time of day, who was the luckly chap, what bait .I think that the mead will still through up a suprise ro two ive seen a bigger fish ( a mirror)./images/forum/icons/smile.gif/images/forum/icons/wink.gif/images/forum/icons/laugh.gif

Does anyone know what was the last fish out of the island, also ian what is the original stock .

dont worry about the big lake. its going to be filled in. it *is* about 70 foot deep cos i saw it when it was drained about 8 years ago.

as for the 37 common, it *could* be the one that migrated the other way when the net was open. i believe the big side boys called it 'the mug common'.

result though, cant wait to see the denge on the bank!

sam, im led to belive that the mug common has been out at 28+ winter time from a good source it was around 31-33 in the big side , the 37+ top angling was strongly rumered to have been out 2 summers ago at 37.12 , strongly belived to have been caught buy either of two well know secret lads who spent a summer over there , be lucky mate
