Does anyone know of any decent day ticket waters in the Yateley area for a bit of piking???
If so, any tips on recent form would be great.

Cheers

Hi M8,
Not a lot of day ticket anglers are piking - but a few of the bailiffs are http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It's certainly prooving pretty good at the moment, my son had a couple of jacks out at the weekend up to 8lb and lost/missed 3 or 4 more (a steep learning curve for his first time piking!)

Get down there m8 I think they probably go up to mid 20's+. Perhaps one of Sandhursts un-exploited secrets? http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Done the South for the last few winters, Had fish to just shoving 18 pound. Did 8 fish in a four hour morning session last December, all on deads. Ran out of bait and had to pack-up!!!

Good luck M8

Hi Nerys,
any particular areas on Sandy that are producing pike? I guess its a case of finding the roach - which will get harder now it looks like theres some proper cold weather on the way!!!

Cheers

the Northerly ( http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif) bank is where it's at.

Just about everywhere at the moment..... round the margins obviously is good, especially when you see the silver fish flipping on the top of the water with a dirty great swirl coming through them!.... they seem to be quite active at the moment, so I would stay light mate, and do an hour here and there, I don't think I've walked round recently and NOT seen pike movement actually.... so if you've had nothing in one spot, move on to another... certainly that has seemed relatively succesful for most of us over there...

the Northerly bank BTW is roughly from the no fishing bank round to swim 29... (no-fishing allowed from the grass bank on the right as you come in with the fence behind it - basically from swim 31 to swim 1) East is pretty much the 1st car park (to be accurate the sun rises over the sewage works.... but the carpark sounds nicer somehow!)
