I know its a hard water most big fish waters are but what comes out what are the biggist fish in there is the syndicate a good group of lads. also I heard about sometrouble with the pikeys whats that all about????
cheers lads
dont know much about the water, i remember years ago ( 10 years) back reading about the monsters that lived in this water, they had a fish kill but what was kill and what surived on one know seems like a real head banger to me as for the
pikey kids can be a pain in the arse. they ride they bike about, fish with nothing but a rod and line with spinner( no trace, net , mat) they are rude and abusive towards you if they want to.keep your self to your self and you wont get no troble from them, dont give them the opportunity to nick anything. take everything out of your car, even the mats lose change anything that will give them the change to break in and steal.
As for the lake, it is an amazing place lots of features you name it it has got it.
There is some big grass carp in there , differcult to tell between these and large commons.
Hope you do well on there.

ps. use the lock up car park, there is people in there during the day and it is lock the rest of the time.
Also read back throught he arcives , you will found more info on the island lake.
