has anyone got any ideas on why fish lunk out, i have sat there and watched fish come clean out countless times and it seems that this is not allways a good sign of a feeding fish, however the times when they slip half there body out,and slide back in without making a sound seems to be a much better sign, any ideas boys

It's only them waving..................

Have you noticed they always do it when you're packing up.

It'd be rude not to say "goodbye".................................

...in addition to Lick's point 2 above...another thoery I have heard is that the carp will crash out almost territorially, to spook other fish away from a food source that they are about to feed on.
This thoery was taken from some French bream anglers who, upon seeing crashing carp entering their vicinity, would pack their gear up for the day...as no further bites were usually forthcoming.

I read somewhere that they did this to remove parisites from their body although i recon they do this for all sorts of reasons - feeding etc. The most i've seen this happen is at dusk and at dawn so it defenitly helps to wake up in the morning ang keep your eyes peeled.
