Aqua - Rig Wallet, Bitz Bag & Cool Bag
After doing a review on the Aqua Duvet-Style sleeping bag at the end of last year I was approached by Aqua to review their latest luggage range. All the items in this review were supplied to me by Aqua, but the review is my own honest opinion.
I’m not a professional angler, and I don’t receive any payments from Aqua, I’m just a weekend fisherman with a family and work commitments. I don’t take it too seriously and blank more often than I catch. If I haven’t had the opportunity to use the item on the bank I make that clear and only offer comments on the look and feel of the item rather than on its real-life usage.
The items from the range that have had real use are – 75L Rucksack, Stalking Bag, Carryall, Bitz Bag, Rig Wallet and the Small Cool Bag.
In addition the 110L Rucksack and Small Bait Boat Bag are considered on a 'look and feel' basis as explained above. For the other items please see the specific reviews.
Rig Wallet, Bitz Bag and Small Cool Bag
The smaller items in the range have been developed with the same attention to detail and thought that has gone into the larger ones. Take the handles on the Bitz Bag and the Cool Bag for example, both well padded and comfortable to hold. On the Rig Wallet the underneath is finished in an easy-wipe, waterproof plastic finish rather than Cordura so that it is easy to keep clean and won’t get stained if it is laid down somewhere damp.
Inside there are foam rig boards in each face and a central compartment for rig bits that again is made from the easy-wipe, waterproof material – put a damp rig away and any moisture on it won’t soak through into the rig materials stored inside. In fact I keep my solid PVA bags in one of the zipped mesh pouches. Rigs of varying sizes can go on the boards and, unlike some I have used; the metal bars don’t fall out when used!
The Bitz Bag and Cool Bag are, as you would expect, not that exciting. They are functional and do a job of work. Plenty of leads, hooks and rig materials fit, and the cool bag takes about 1kilo of boilies.
