I've fished Frimley for many a year and had a few of the good 'uns on the way. My mate, Iain Stevens, and me decided to have a social on Pit 3, so we tossed coins for swims and luckily for me I lost the toss and had to fish a swim I would not normally fish.
I baited the area with a mix of hemp, corn and 80 Icelandic Red Caviar and Cranberry mm boiles. I woke to a slow take to my middle rod and the fish came straight toward me not doing much. Then it turned and I felt the weight of it. I netted it quite quickly after that, and looking in the net I realised that I had something very special.
We weighed her and the scales settled on 45lbs on the nose! To say I was over the moon was a understatement. A new PB and a dream come true.
