This is a new venue for me 2011 season, and what a great start to it.
Got to the lake about midday found a good looking swim, and setup, 2 rods 1st rod ledger rod baited with corn hoping for a tench, 2nd rod floater rod, there were a few carp swimming on the surface so i thought this would work quite well, and it sure did, by the end of my 1st session i had 3 carp, all 3 were commons, 15lb 6oz, 11lb 15oz, 19lb 10oz, not quite a 20lb but i`m still more than happy with my result.
The ledger rod was a bit of a slow starter but got a lil busy, i did`nt get any tench but the roach and skimmers got a little active only had it for a little fun, my main quarry were the carp, i did get a bream on my floater setup, i did`nt weigh it but it went about 4-5lb.
All in all a great afternoons fishing.
