Korda Top Tip
At this time of year carp will often shy off big beds of bait so rather than setting up, spodding loads of bait out and camping for days on end, why not try a more mobile approach. A small potent Stik has enough attraction to grab the attention of any passing carp, this coupled with a nice small hookbait can be a real winner in early spring.
Danny has been doing particularly well this winter using Sticky baits bag mix combined with the 4mm bloodworm pellets and a tin of tuna in brine. For a hookbait he has found the Sticky baits Blood Worm Dumbbells to be extremely effective.
The problem with putting a lot of bait in is the fact that you feel obliged to sit on it, with this approach you can potter about, trying various different areas in a day.
