On Monday 7 Nov 11 I had a day off and took a trip to have a look at the River Wey.
RIVER WEY - FIRST LOOK | Angling Diary

I decided its time to get off the lakes and find somewhere to fish for the winter. The River Wey stretch is smaller than I expected but has a range of swims that make it an interesting spot. Maggot and worm only drew small perch and gudgeon but a change to cheese paste brought a Chub of about 4lb. I had to leave before dusk but saw enough to ensure I'll be back before long.
The baliff come along at lunch time and once the formalities were done he was very friendly and forthcoming with bits of information.
