PRINGLE AND HARRYECHO ON THE BURGHFIELD MATCH LAKE
The weather outlook was sunshine and showers so the two of us settled down to see what we could catch from the match lake it having been closed for over 2 years. Nothing happened for an hour or so but eventually a mirror carp took the bait and was soon on the bank. It was around the 2.5/3kg and so was the next 2 fish, all mirrors. We hoped for maybe a tench or a bream but just 3 fish was our total and as the heavy rain decided to arrive we packed up and left. Although we were only there for a short spell it gave us hope that this lake will be back on form to please everyone that fishes it.
